Job Purpose

The Senior Applications Analyst is responsible for the successful support, enhancement, and optimization of new and existing technology solutions within the Operational and Execution applications portfolio. The Sr Applications Analyst provides excellent customer service to key business partners, leads various initiatives, performs advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of incidents, collaborates with global IT delivery teams and business engagement teams, and encourages the adoption of standardized tools and processes to support business efficiency and growth.

You are meant for this job if:
  • Serving as the functional expert for the operation and maintenance of assigned IT solutions including performing system health checks, system maintenance & patching, and managing change requests and small enhancements.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to application users experiencing any variety of issues with an application and providing escalated support as required.
  • Liaising with other application SMEs, vendor support teams, and other internal teams to resolve issues.
Main Accountabilities
  • Participating in business process analysis, including functional analysis and implementation strategies, while identifying areas of continuous improvement to support business processes.
  • Assisting in defining and reviewing project scopes to ensure alignment with business success criteria, global standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Translating business requirements into functional specifications and system designs.
  • Executing a variety of project roles depending on the size and complexity of the initiative, working across a global organization to meet business needs and maximize information technology's effectiveness.
  • Maintaining system design documentation and application support manuals.
  • Working with affiliated business stakeholders, the business engagement team, and delivery teams to ensure effective communication on issue resolution and the impact of system changes.
  • Coordinating IT testing, installation, and training, and participating in resolving chronic or difficult problems affecting the business.
  • Ensuring that global IT policies and procedures are applied and implemented.
Additional Skills

Qualifications Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional knowledge.
  • Relevant experience working with technology solutions supporting global business functions including software development/configuration and demonstrated application support skills.
  • Excellent planning, communication, problem solving and facilitation skills, including demonstrated project management experience.
  • Ability to multi-task, work autonomously and apply own initiative with a strong capacity for learning new technology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, including strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret, articulate, and clearly communicate complex technical concepts to business partners.
  • Extensive analytical skills to drive issue resolution.
  • Strong data analysis skills with ability to identify and present data trends.
  • Preference given to candidates with Oracle database and/or SQL database management experience as well as familiarity with Java and debugging of applications.
