About their Technology Department

Their IT team is a vibrant group of 22 experts, dedicated to supporting over 180 users across two entities at the same location. While most of their users work remotely, their IT team maintains a strong office presence to ensure seamless operations and top-notch support.

Purpose.

Are you an AWS and Microsoft Cloud enthusiast with a knack for building robust infrastructure and automating deployment processes? Join our client as an IT Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of their cloud-based systems. Embrace the opportunity to work within the ITIL framework and support multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Innovate and Implement: Design and deploy cutting-edge AWS-based infrastructure solutions that align with their business goals and best practices, driving their cloud-first strategy.
  • Collaborate and Create: Work alongside a diverse team and stakeholders to develop scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures in Azure and AWS environments.
  • Integrate and Enhance: Seamlessly integrate cloud services into their IT landscape, collaborating with development, operations, and security teams to meet application requirements.
  • Maintain and Optimise: Ensure the efficient and reliable performance of all cloud-based systems and solutions, managing capacity across technical environments.
  • Secure and Comply: Adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements for cloud infrastructure and Red Hat systems, implementing and monitoring robust security measures.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot: Analyse logs, resolve performance issues and provide timely troubleshooting support to maintain system reliability.
  • Document and Educate: Create detailed documentation for configuration settings and troubleshooting procedures, ensuring knowledge sharing and consistency.
  • Disaster Recovery: Ensure the real-time availability of disaster recovery solutions.
  • Key and Certificate Custodian:
  • Key Management: Centralise control over cryptographic keys using Hytrust, with comprehensive documentation and brake glass procedures.
  • SSL Certificate Management: Manage SSL certificates to ensure they never expire, upgrading to the latest security standards and providing detailed installation and configuration documentation.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and SRE.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Experience with Terraform for managing cloud infrastructure as code.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Ruby.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Keen attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritise projects effectively.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and within time constraints.
  • Proactive and independent, while also being a team player.
