We serve a population of nearly 800,000 people and employ around 7,000 staff, covering a wide range of expertise and specialisms.

Our staff provide healthcare at over 300 sites, ranging from village halls and GP surgeries to mental health inpatient hospitals and community hospitals - as well as in people's homes.

Dorset Healthcare are excited to offer the opportunity for a Full time Resuscitation Officer to join our team.


The resus officer will provide clarity to the organisation on education requirements across staff groups, deliver training to a wide range of staff and give quality oversight and assurance following any resuscitation incidents.

The role will be based within the Learning and Development Department, but will be expected to work closely with the Nursing Therapies and Quality directorates and our operational Colleagues to provide high level assurance of the organisations ability to meet required standards of patient care.


The key components of this role include:
Oversight and guidance on staff education regarding resuscitation

Delivery of Resuscitation training to different staff groups in multiple settings

Audit and evaluation of training delivery and embedding learning from incidents into training

Audit and evaluation post incident

Participation in key workstreams, such as the deteriorating patient group and Physical health in the mental health setting.
