My client, a Global Hedge Fund, are seeking an experienced Quantitative Developer to sit on desk and support various Portfolio Manager within their London team.


In this role you will be embedded in the Investment Team, working closely with traders, analysts and Business Management, to execute on their business needs.

In particular, you will be focussing primarily on pre-trade activities such as building screeners, backtesters and engage in idea generation.

This role also extends to post-trade activities covering trade booking and other essential tasks.


You will be joining a highly successful London team, working alongside some of the brightest Portfolio Managers in the industry, and will have continuous exposure to and interaction with Traders and Senior Management.


Requirements:
n

  • Strong programming skills in Pythonn
  • 5+ years of experience on desk experience designing and developing live trading infrastructure at a financial institution, including experience in FX or Commoditiesn
  • Experience handling connections to execution/order management systemsn
  • Experience with SQL, database design, and large datasetsn
  • Willing to take ownership of his/her work, working both independently and within a small teamn
  • Commitment to the highest ethical standardsn
  • Masters financial Engineering
A successful candidate must come from the buy-side and have an in-depth and excellent understanding of Python.
