About the Role: Are you ready to be part of a team delivering technology that supports critical operations across the UK? My client is looking for a passionate Desktop Support Engineer based in Central London to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing top-notch customer support, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services for some of our most important clients.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain high customer satisfaction (CSAT score of 8+).
- Ensure timely processing of user requests.
- Act as a technical escalation point for the service desk.
- Log and manage tickets efficiently, adhering to Incident Management processes.
- Keep the Knowledge Base updated and reduce ticket numbers through proactive solutions.
- Conduct weekly ticket reviews and monthly service reviews with clients.
- Manage and maintain licensing, certificates, patching, and vulnerability management.
- Handle security incidents and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IT assets.
- Become proficient in IT Service Management functions with ConnectWise.
Required Skills:
- Experience with IT Service Management platforms, preferably ConnectWise.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with senior stakeholders.
- Experience in managed service roles and virtual team environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Expertise in troubleshooting Microsoft environments (AD, Azure AD, Windows Server, etc.).
- Knowledge of backup technologies and basic networking (firewalls, LAN configuration).
About You:
- Calm under pressure and adaptable to changes.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Eligible for Security Clearance and Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV3).
- Full UK driving license required.
