Main Responsibilities:
Development of designs and concepts, as well as prototypes, at the request of the Contract Sales Director to ensure that Heathfield can support clients throughout their projectsDevelop CAD drawings and models, where required for customised versions of our product range, bespoke projects, and new productsInterpret and modify existing CAD drawingsAdvise on compliance requirements within the company's manufacturing and development departments and share appropriate knowledge aimed at improving compliance levelsDevelopment of CAD models, renders and shop drawings for prototyping and manufactureCAD/Drawing file management of new and existing designsLiaising with suppliers to develop and cost up components and assembliesBOMS and part management of new and existing designsUndertake visits to site and client premises to assess any quality issues or faults as they may arise and propose the most commercially viable solutionAssist in the design, development and delivery of custom lighting installation projects when requiredEnsure projects are of high quality, cost-effective and are manufacturableCommunicate directly with suppliers, where necessary, to agree upon technical and manufacturing techniques.Research new supplies, manufacturing methods and materialsDevelop design proposals, project costings, and prepare presentationsRegular and accurate reporting of a project statusEnsure the development solutions fulfill the client's requirementsEffectively communicate design options & constraints to the Projects Team General Establish, maintain, and develop effective working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliersUnderstand drivers of customer satisfaction and strive to improve customer experiencesUndertake other reasonable duties as defined by the Operations ManagerPrioritise and manage workload efficientlyFollow communications, procedures, guidelines, and policiesMeet personal and team targetsEffective time management Skills 3-5 years CAD development experience in a manufacturing environmentProficient in Inventor and/or SolidWorksExperience in the lighting or high-end interiors industry will be a distinct advantage The above duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive, and the employer is entitled to instruct the employee, at any time, to carry out additional duties or responsibilities, which fall reasonably within the ambit of the job description, or in accordance with operational requirements.
