We are partnering with a fantastic college group seeking SEN Educators to start in September 2024. This position is perfect for a dedicated ASD lecturer who is enthusiastic about delivering a curriculum that empowers young adults with autism for adulthood.

Key Responsibilities of an SEN Lecturer:

  • Provide a curriculum based on the Preparing for Adulthood pathways
  • Teach in college and community settings
  • Engage with learners aged 16-25 at pre-entry level
  • Create schemes of work and session plans
  • Track student progress and compile reports
  • Participate in team meetings and handle behaviors of concern

Requirements for the SEN Lecturer position:

  • Previous experience in a teaching role
  • Understanding of Preparing for Adulthood pathways
  • Experience with learners displaying challenging behaviors
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education
