SEND Learning Support Assistant - Wooburn Green Primary School

Location: Wooburn Green

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and caring practitioner who can support pupils using our values and Growth Mindset approach to learning.

Term time only: Yes

Salary Type: Bucks pay

Contract type: Fixed Term (Initially until July 2025, with the potential to extend to full time/permanent contract)

Hours: 32.5 hours a week (Full Time/Term time: 8.30am–3.30pm (1/2 hour lunch),43 weeks a year)

Interviews to be held: Week Commencing the 3rd June

Potential start date: June 2024, to be agreed with the candidate.

The post is for a SEND Learning Support Assistant, who will work in partnership with the class teacher to ensure all pupils receive excellent provision and make great progress.

The SEND Learning Support Assistant will support pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1-2-1 basis and will support with progress towards Educational Health Care Plan targets.

The successful candidates will be supported in their professional development and have the opportunity to work in a happy and thriving school community. The role will involve working in EYFS and will be supporting a class or individual pupils.

About you

The successful candidate will:

-have experience of working in a school setting
-have experience of working with SEND pupils and supporting those with additional needs, ideally with experience in EYFS/KS1
-have high expectations of all learners
-be kind, friendly and approachable
-a positive outlook
-a good standard of education to GCSE or equivalent, Grade C or above in English and Maths
-be passionate about improving pupil outcomes
-be able to use their initiative
-be committed to inclusion and put the children's individual needs at the heart of learning.
-be able to work as part of a team
