TEST & FINISHING TECHNICIAN

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Test & Finishing Technicianto join the team at Lintott, a Galliford Try business.

An exciting opportunity has come up for a Trainee Test & Finishing Technician to join Galliford Try's Lintott Control Systems team in the Environment division to deliver circa £m of projects under multiple Water Industry Frameworks and non-water clients per annum covering the United Kingdom.

Work together with and under the supervision of Test & Finishing Technicians (Approved Electricians) to learn and understand the principles of product & electrical installation inspection & testing. Perform quality inspections of manufactured products & bought in goods. Undertake electrical inspection, testing and certification of factory-built assemblies. Complete factory based functional & process testing of assemblies following company procedures. Compile test documentation and reports. Working within agreed Lintott Control Systems procedures and formats. To liaise with all interested stakeholders during and upon completion of testing. Establish & maintain a healthy working relationship with other departments, achieving positive feedback on all contracts, enabling quality issues identified to be captured for future improvement / reference. Assist with internal process development and identifying and removing waste / non-value-added activities. Help to maintain and develop procedures and systems to ensure the maintenance of manual and electronic filing systems. Any other duties agreed from time-to-time with management. Compliance with the Company's Business Quality Management System. Always abide by the Company's Culture and Values. Assume other responsibilities as required and work with colleagues to further the best possible performance of the Company.

About You:

At least years relevant experience in manufacturing & installation relating to either/both MCCs (DOL, ASD, Soft Start & VSD), Switchgear, Control Panels and LV Distribution / Electrical Installations or Chemical Dosing Systems. Experience working to or qualified to the th Edition to BS wiring regulations. Excellent IT skills, including, but not limited to, Word Processing, Spreadsheets & Databases.

Desirable Experience:

Experience within the Water & Wastewater Sector. Experience in Industrial Automation. Experience working and interfacing directly with customers. Technical Report writing ability. Level NVQ qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Discipline plus years experience in Utility industries or either Food, FMCG, Automotive, Materials Handling.
