Position: Cover Supervisor

Location: Clitheroe, Lancashire.

A large, mainstream Secondary school in Clitheroe requires a full time, permanent Cover Supervisor to join their support team from September 2024. Teaching Personnel are working in collaboration with this school to recruit a confident and proactive Cover Supervisor, with consistent support from the support team and your dedicated Consultant at Teaching Personnel.

To be shortlisted and invited for interview, you must complete a registration with Teaching Personnel.

A friendly character, who has great interpersonal skills.

Is a good listener, who is empathetic

Has a strong presence and is very confident.

Has a strong use of their own initiative.

Has a passion for Education and supporting young people.

This role is very rewarding and would be best suited for an individual who is either keen to build experience in the Education sector before training as a teacher, or someone who has previously worked with young people outside of Education and would like to try working in an excellent Secondary school. You will also be joining an extremely supportive and friendly support department, who prioritise continuous development.

Not only will you be joining a supportive school and department, you will also have the support of a dedicated personal Consultant from Teaching Personnel.

Roles and responsibilities:

You will be delivering cover in different classes due to the absent classroom teacher.

Delivering pre-set work to a class of 20-30 students which they must complete on their own.

Ensuring you are following the behaviour policy and ensure students are behaving in and outside the classroom.

Collecting the completed work at the end of every lesson.

Tidying up the classroom at the end of each lesson.

Following the safeguarding procedures in school.
