The role?

Due to additional growth a new permanent role for a AP/Rigger has arisen on one of our large projects in Barry, South Wales.

Working as part of the team in South Wales the role will deliver a high quality, consistent and competent rigging / erection construction service.

You will support overall delivery of company goals and schedule whilst ensuring work scopes are completed in a safe and timely manner.

Responsible for raising PTW's in order to complete work scopes and required to undertake risk assessments when needed, you will participate and contribute to EnerMech's Emergency Response procedure and process.

This role will predominantly use Mobile Cranes.


Must be a good clear communicator and able to demonstrate patience and clarity when discussing lift plans with the Lifting team.


Responsible for producing Lifting Plans, Risk Assessments on a daily basis and communicating & organising using daily meetings with the client to oversee workload, organise the rigging team and tool box talks.


As Appointed Person you will give instruction and be responsible for the execution and safety of lifting operations as well as supervising others and consulting with relevant bodies to ensure work is carried out safely.

You'll also need to help make up work-packs.

The role is a permanent staff role and includes a salary and benefits package with opportunity for overtime for over 40 hours worked a week. This is not a contractor role

You are?
Experienced in lifting operations (using Mobile Cranes) and LOLER regulations/CPCS blue card, qualified and possessing:
OPITO Level 3 Rigging Assessment/ECITB Rigger Stage 3 VQ.

Ideally SVQ/NVQ in Lifting Operations. Qualified with Appointed person A61 and be computer literate with Word & Excel skills.

Planning experience/exposure to shutdowns required and SAP experience in making up work packs.

Desirable qualifications include Crane supervisor A62 and IOSH/NEBOSH

Demonstrable relevant experience in rigging & lifting operations and possessing a good understanding of safe working practices are essential.

You will be able to demonstrate commitment to safe working at all times and be competent and ideally experienced in an Appointed Person role.
