Senior Paid Media Executive

Location: Bolton

Base Salary up to: Up tp £40k DOE

Full time: Permanent

Hybrid: 1 day a week onsite and the rest of the time working from home

Focus of the role: As the sole individual in the company with Paid Media expertise, you will serve as the in-house go-to professional for all paid media matters.

We are seeking a Senior Paid Media Executive to play a vital role within our client's Customer Acquisition Team during a phase of expansion in their B2C enterprise, where customer acquisition is of utmost importance. Your duties will involve strategically managing and owning a significant budget for Digital Marketing activities, covering Paid Search, Paid Social, and Display Media. You will directly report to the Customer Acquisition Manager, leading the planning, implementation, and assessment of paid media campaigns to drive continuous improvement.

The Role:

  • Supervise the development and daily optimization of Paid Search, Paid Social, and Display campaigns to drive effective new customer acquisition while maintaining an ideal Cost Per Acquisition.
  • Identify high-value keywords, target audiences, and creative placements to maximize Return on Ad Spend and lower CPA.
  • Regularly evaluate ad campaign copy and messaging to boost click-through rates, quality scores, and return on investment.
  • Work with the Business Intelligence team to create and apply retargeting and prospecting audiences based on segmentation.
  • Produce and share comprehensive Key Performance Indicator reports for each Paid Media channel to offer insights to stakeholders, updating the Customer Acquisition Manager weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Recognize promotional opportunities, collaborating with Promotions, CRM, and BI teams to plan, execute, and assess promotional initiatives across channels.
  • Coordinate with design and content teams to ensure promotional campaigns effectively drive conversions across channels.
  • Maintain the integrity of the client's brand by ensuring all promotional activities across channels comply with industry standards and regulations, carrying out due diligence with new media partners or channels.
  • Ensure compliance with industry advertising guidelines and ASA CAP codes, conducting regular audits and quality checks of creatives, copy, media placements, and promotions within active campaigns.
  • Build relationships with key publishers, vendors, ad servers, and platforms (e.g., Meta, Google, Flashtalking) to stay informed about new initiatives, technologies, or methods.
  • Collaborate closely with the User Experience team to execute A/B and multivariate testing strategies aimed at continuously enhancing ROI and performance.
  • Work closely with the Finance Team to produce regular cost-level reports and ensure all promotional initiatives stay within budgetary limits.

Who are we looking for?

  • Proficiency in managing Paid Search/PPC campaigns, and a good understanding of broader Paid Social. Paid Display experience an advantage from either clients side or agency.
  • Sound knowledge of effective marketing campaign principles, coupled with the ability to analyze campaign performance and communicate their impact across the organization.
  • Track record of successfully managing budgets and delivering positive Return on Ad Spend.
  • Demonstrated expertise in overseeing digital campaigns across various Paid Search platforms (e.g., Google, Microsoft Ads) and proficiency in crafting and optimizing campaigns on Meta and Twitter advertising platforms.
  • Experience in both direct and programmatic media buying through diverse platforms.
  • Proficiency in utilizing third-party tracking tools like Google Analytics to interpret data and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with ad serving technologies, such as Flashtalking.
  • Understanding of attribution models and the capability to derive actionable insights from multi-touch data-driven attribution tools.
  • Knowledge of digital advertising regulations and adherence to industry codes of practice, including CAP and ASA guidelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
