Quality Control Team Leader

We are recruiting for a Quality Control Team Leader, at our site in Telford, to support a small team of production staff and ensure quality systems are followed and adhered to.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Management and development of the HD Foods quality systems.
  • Ensuring our product is traceable and GMP audits are correct.
  • Managing quality system maintenance.
  • Provide performance information and data to management team.
  • Drive hygiene and GMP standards within the operational areas.
  • Ensure adherence to effective Quality systems and procedures.
  • Ensure QA paperwork, procedures and controls are followed to satisfy internal and external codes of practice and factory protocols i.e. Taste Panel, Quality Assurance, pest control, hygiene, CCP's, etc.
  • Ensure samples are collected hygienically and sent for analysis offsite.
  • Support and coordinate taste panels, record actions and deliver solutions for nonconforming products / materials.
  • Support pest control activities on site and liaise with current contractor on records and corrective actions.

Key requirements:

  • Level 3 in Food safety.
  • Quality Qualification.
  • Lab Qualification.
  • HACCP level Qualification and experience of leading HACCP teams.
  • Qualified in a managerial or supervisory discipline or equivalent experience is desirable.
  • Qualification or experience in Auditing is desirable.
