Job summary

We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. Clinics typically run between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. We also run a clinic on a Saturday morning in Bristol.

We run clinics across Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, and Swindon so travel is required. We pay mileage and additional travel time and our logistics team will aim to minimise your travel distances. As we work across multiple sites in the community a car is required.

Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant, you are a key member of our clinical team. Your rolewill include supporting the smooth running ofclinics, providing support to patients and carers to ensure theyreceive a high quality experience of care and you will be working alongside the multidisciplinary team toundertake a range of currently provide services across Urology, DVT, Minor Surgery and Ultrasound.

Working under direct and indirect supervision ofregistered nurses, medical consultants, GPs, sonographers, vascular scientistsand other clinical staff you will be supported to gain competencies across thedifferent services and then undertake a range of different procedures includingbladder scanning, taking patient observations, urinary flow testing and otherprocedures as required.

You will work with the team to ensure the clinics are runin a safe and efficient manner, focusing on personalised approaches to care andenhancing the patient experience.

Job responsibilities

As a key member of our clinical team, you will deliver a high standard of patient care and administrative duties within community outpatient clinics. Working under direct and indirect supervision of registered nurses, consultants, sonographers and medical staff you will be required to undertake and maintain competency in a range of skills such as bladder scanning, taking patient observations and urinary flow testing. You will contribute to the delivery of safe and efficient clinics ensuring patient dignity and confidentiality are respected. The ability to use your own initiative, multi-task, and work under pressure are all essential.
