Venture Recruitment Partners is excited to be supporting a renowned global brand in the recruitment of a Business Partner for their Strategic Developments team in a newly established role due to recent capital investment.

This fresh position will play a crucial role in supporting high-value capital projects through board paper and associated investment appraisal processes, from the initial stages in the 5-year plan to final approval by the board.

Located at their Basingstoke (or Poole) office with flexible hybrid working options, we are looking for a top-notch Qualified Finance professional with exceptional business partnering and communication abilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Strategic Developments in preparing board papers, investment appraisals, and analysis for high-value capital projects.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Strategic Developments, Senior Directors, and other operational and finance teams to ensure the use of the best data, insights, and analysis.
  • Provide the Head of Strategic Developments with high-quality, thorough research and analysis to facilitate project delivery.
  • Act as an independent business partner overseeing a portfolio of projects.
  • Assist the Head of Strategic Developments in ensuring timely delivery of all board papers.
  • Define and enhance processes, procedures, roles, and responsibilities throughout the organization regarding capital investment.

About you:

We are looking for candidates who are CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with the ability to engage with and support various stakeholders, paired with exceptional communication, problem-solving, presentation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.

Applicants should have a solid academic background and a desire to transition from corporate finance to a more commercial role. Proficiency in Excel and data management is essential.

The ideal candidate will be adept at collecting and analyzing various datasets, both financial and non-financial, and preferably possess experience in financial modeling, investment appraisal, evaluations, or capital development.
