The Opportunity


The Billing Analyst is a permanent position offering a salary of between £28,000 and £30,000 (dependant on experience) plus 8.33% bonus, based in South Ruislip, West London.

The Role


The principal objective of the role is to enhance business performance by identifying gaps within booked jobs, reviewing where better margins can be made and analysing trends in performance.


What you will do?

You key focus areas will be:

  • Sustain the smooth processing of invoices to ensure our service partners are paid on time
  • To work on identifying billing opportunities across the team and ensure all billing opportunities are captured
  • Ensuring there are sufficient accruals for service costs to come in from either service partners or other Crown offices
  • Analyse individual job costs to identify possible errors and act as a preventative
  • Maintain a solid oversight on margins and general client performance

Your main duties will include:

  • Ensure the finance processes within the business unit are being conducted and delivered to a high standard; This can include the Work In Progress (WIP), accruals, billing to our corporate clients and ensuring all completed files are billed in a timely manneretc.
  • To analyse and provide a better understanding of WIP position on a monthly basis so that we are aware of the age of WIP and the mix of clients that this relates to.
  • To review and process all AP invoices into the team and flag up training issues within the wider team that need to be addressed as a result of this.
  • Update Crown systems with service process information.
  • Assist in the standardisation and improvement of current processes and work flows

Skill and Experience

Essential:

  • Experience as a Billing Administrator or similar accounting position
  • Good practical experience with billing procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong MC Office skills; Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Work in a fastpaced environment
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organisation
  • Good interpersonal skills able to build and maintain relationships at all levels
  • Good commercial awareness and critical thinker

Desirable:

  • BSC or BA Degree in accounting or similar
  • Experience with in the logistics, shipping or relocations industry
