Hours: 37 hours per week

Join us at South Tyneside College in guiding the upcoming generation of Motor Vehicle enthusiasts.

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Lecturer in Motor Vehicle to collaborate with us in creating, organizing, and delivering top-notch educational programs, as well as offering professional assistance to assist the College in achieving its goals.

Your primary duty will involve instructing and evaluating specialized Motor Vehicle units, focusing on upholding discipline, ensuring safety standards, nurturing communication abilities, and promoting efficiency. You will be fully responsible for overseeing assigned learners to guarantee their retention, progress, and success. Your tasks will include imparting foundational knowledge, providing guidance, devising learning plans, and developing work schemes where applicable.

As part of your responsibilities, you will engage with groups of Motor Vehicle learners and may provide hands-on training in dedicated workshops focusing on motor vehicle repair procedures. Furthermore, you will be accountable for delivering theoretical knowledge in a classroom environment.

Once onboard, your key duties will involve:


- Creating and delivering educational materials for various programs


- Conducting a variety of lecturing tasks alongside classroom instruction, tutorials, assessments, adult courses, and student internships as necessary.


- Providing tutorial services and aiding in delivering an efficient counseling service to students regarding academic and welfare concerns.


- Engaging in outreach activities with parents, schools, and employers as needed.


- Collaboration within one or more course teams and managing specified courses or subjects as required.


- Taking part in curriculum enhancement initiatives
