The Cyber Security team are responsible for the technology, controls and processes in place to protect the group's digital networks, devices and data from unauthorised access or unintentional activity.

This position is based from our head office in Crewe, Cheshire , and reports into our IT Operations Director.

Actively participating in IT strategy planning activities, bringing current knowledge and future vision of cyber security as related to the needs of the business.

Managing a penetration testing and vulnerability assessment programme.

Contributing to the design and build of customer facing platforms and applications, working closely with software development teams to ensure cyber security best practice is considered throughout the entire SDLC.

Detailed understanding of application security along with experience of working alongside software development teams, supporting and advising on best practice to maintain security.

Significant experience of endpoint detection and response (EDR) technologies and network detection and response (NDR) technologies.
Good understanding of Linux and database technologies such as Ubuntu, Apache, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Nginx, Mercurial and Git.
Good understanding of cyber security practices in relation to cloud hosting, preferably with experience of AWS.
Good understanding of open source risk management using enterprise management tools.
An understanding of Service Management disciplines, ideally using the ITIL framework.
