Qualified Teacher (SEMH Knowledge Essential)

Location: Brigg, North Lincolnshire
Salary: £130 - £150 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full Time

GSL Education are seeking a Qualified Teacher with essential SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) knowledge for a full-time position in Brigg starting immediately. This role is perfect for someone who is dedicated to supporting students with additional needs and committed to fostering their educational and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of students with SEMH requirements.
  • Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) to support the unique needs of each student.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to maximise student learning and well-being.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using positive behaviour strategies to maintain a conducive learning environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching students with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
