Head Housekeeper

The Head Housekeeper will:
Write weekly rotas for the housekeeping and night porter team, adhering to strict budgets and timeframes for cleaning bedrooms.

• Train, mentor, and motivate housekeeping team so that they are able to easily spot and solve issue that may occur in rooms. members to uphold our standards of excellence.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and checklists to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and backofhouse areas.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, compliance with company standards, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Oversee inventory management for housekeeping supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained and orders are placed in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and front office, to coordinate cleaning and maintenance schedules and ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Maintain a safe working environment for housekeeping staff by enforcing safety standards and protocols.
• Monitor housekeeping performance metrics, such as room cleanliness scores and staff productivity, and implement improvements as needed.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new housekeeping team members as required.

Oversee the operation of our onsite laundry operation (based at The Wheatsheaf, Sandbach)

Rate of pay is dependent on experience and ability to effectively manage the role and the rest of the team.

A probationary period of 3 months will apply.

Salary:
From £31,500.00 per year
