As a Repairs Team Coordinator (Electrical), you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing electrical repairs and maintenance activities , ensuring high-quality work and adherence to health and safety regulations.

  • Coordinating electrical repairs and maintenance activities, including managing technicians and subcontractors
  • To ensure electrical works are carried out to a high quality standard, in accordance with all health and safety legislation and within the prescribed targeted timescales
  • Monitoring and appraising the performance of staff and subcontractors
  • Working closely with management to develop and implement new initiatives
  • Assist management with the development and introduction of new initiatives concerning methods of working
  • Promote and embed the provision of a customer focused, efficient and cost-effective service, achieving a quality, right first time service
  • To control on a day to day basis overhead expenditure directly connected with labour, plant and materials with an emphasis on VFM
  • To be responsible for the support and coordination of the technicians providing the Together Housing Group out of hours emergency rota
  • Advise the Property Managers of occasions and reasons where sub contractor labour may be required. Supervise work and approve payments
  • Arranging quotations from sub contractors for specialist electrical works, coordinate with the planners in regards to placing the works order
  • Ensure that at all times technicians are available in balance to effect efficient and smooth operation of the Repairs & Maintenance Section
  • Providing a customer-focused service

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has...
  • Full current Driving Licence
  • Electrical qualifications and certifications are required, e.g. NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant electrical application
  • Experience in leading a team and managing electrical repairs and maintenance
  • Working knowledge of electrical trades and regulations
  • Experience of dealing with issues of poor electrical performance
  • Ability to use IT applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrable experience in the construction/housing sector
