London, Greater London, United Kingdom Ripple Full time

At Ripple, we're building a world where value moves like information does today. It's big, it's bold, and we're already doing it. Through our crypto solutions for financial institutions, businesses, governments and developers, we are improving the global financial system and creating greater economic fairness and opportunity for more people, in more places around the world. And we get to do the best work of our career and grow our skills surrounded by colleagues who have our backs.

If you're ready to see your impact and unlock incredible career growth opportunities, join us, and build real world value.

Ripple is a crypto solutions company transforming how the world moves, manages, and tokenizes value. Through RippleX, we support and champion an open community of developers on XRP Ledger (XRPL), so they can advance the solutions and innovation needed to allow businesses, consumers, institutions, and governments to fuel the engine of a new digital economy.

THE WORK:

As a Developer Advocate, you will develop and lead initiatives related to engaging, supporting, enabling, and growing the global XRP community of developers around the XRP Ledger. You are passionate about connecting with developers, fostering community, and speaking about technologies externally to educate users.

Within the Developer Advocate team, this role will particularly focus on supporting the builders and developers taking part in Ripple's developer funding programs. As part of a $1BN XRP pledge to support builders and developers in the XRPL ecosystem, Ripple has launched several initiatives to nurture and accelerate early-stage startups in the Web3 / crypto space.

In this role, you would act as a technical advisor and developer advocate across Ripple's Grants, Accelerator, and Bootcamp programs, working hand-in-hand with early-stage projects. You will play a crucial role in nurturing developer and startup relationships and providing technical guidance across each stage of these programs. This includes technical application vetting, evaluating project applications within the context of broader ecosystem and strategic needs, and once programs are underway, mentoring and coaching projects. This role will also develop technical content for program curriculums and act as an internal subject matter expert for projects on developing on the XRPL.

This is a technical role, and we are looking for an individual who has experience as a developer, competency in programming in Python, Java, or Javascript, and experience with developer communities and ecosystems. This person should be passionate about blockchain technology, have an eye for disruptive innovation, and enjoy working with the startup ecosystem to help shape our programs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Serve as a trusted technical advisor to developers and startups, assisting them in understanding how to build and scale on the XRP Ledger Provide guidance and coaching to help startups on prototypes, demos, and MVPs, advising on technical roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, or other challenges Review program applications and ensure projects are aligned with ecosystem needs and Ripple's strategic objectives Develop frameworks to assess startup technical strength, viability, and market fit. Serve as a liaison between startups and internal technical resources, as well as to external SMEs and resources within the broader ecosystem, such as portfolio startups, investors, and mentors Develop and lead technical workshops, group learning sessions, and other technical content and modules to accelerate XRPL integration Review and approve milestone/progress reports for funded projects to ensure they are meeting technical goals Partner with funding program managers to create and execute technical content and workflows for projects and operational partners in the Accelerator, Bootcamp, and Grants. Be the voice, eyes, ears, and face of the XRPL community by speaking with, observing, listening to, and engaging developers directly all over the world Work with internal stakeholders across product, engineering, data, and growth to build strong bi-directional feedback loops and influence roadmaps Speak at conferences, meetups, and events about the XRPL, use cases, projects, and upcoming products and features

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

5+ years of experience in a developer, developer manager, developer advisor, or developer relations role 5+ years of experience in fast-paced environments within technology, startups, and entrepreneurship Competency in programming in Python, Java, or Javascript Experience with APIs, developer communities, open-source, and developer ecosystems Experience advising startups through product and technical challenges, helping startups achieve product market fit, and knowledge of common startup issues and pain points Understanding and engagement within the venture and startup ecosystem, and having an existing network within that ecosystem is a plus Knowledge of blockchain, cryptocurrency or blockchain technology ecosystem Comfortable with a minimal amount of direction and high expectations Ability and willingness to travel worldwide for meetings and events around the globe Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to all stakeholders.
