We are looking for an exceptional and highly talented individual to support the leadership at Shirebrook Academy, focusing on improvements related to inclusion, adaptive practices, and supporting students with SEND. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in senior or middle leadership roles, demonstrating successful leadership in a faculty/department or similar setting.

The successful candidate will:

  • Has excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills;
  • Is a highly effective and resilient leader, capable of coaching and developing others;
  • Has high expectations for all members of the academy community;
  • Has the experience, skills, and determination for a leadership role;
  • Is an effective and resilient leader with strong people development abilities;
  • Is experienced, knowledgeable, and proficient in safeguarding practices;
  • Contributes to ensuring the academy delivers high-quality education tailored to each student, promoting high standards of achievement;
  • Ensures high performance and added value for all students, especially the most vulnerable;
  • Is dedicated to providing high-quality education that fosters high standards of achievement at ACET academies;

Aston Community Education Trust is a forward-thinking and ambitious multi-academy trust, managing three secondary academies and nine junior academies in Rotherham, Sheffield, and North Derbyshire.

The chosen candidate will lead the development of the academy's strategies related to inclusion, adaptive practices, and support for students with SEND.
