Job Purpose
Peel Park Primary School continues to see a rise in the number of pupils identified as requiring additional support.

We are looking for a passionate, knowledgeable person who can assist the SENDCO in managing the provision for pupils identified as having Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

By supporting the SENDCO in the organisation and running of the SEND provision and EHCP consultation/review process; liaising with staff to establish clear targets; delivering intervention and ensuring that the outcomes of reviews are clearly communicated to staff and agencies in line with statutory requirements.

• A hardworking and conscientious individual, with a passion for SEND who demonstrates effective peopleskills and an ability to be empathetic and confidential.
• They must demonstrate integrity, have excellent communication skills and a high level of administrative skills requiring accuracy and diligence.
• An ability to multitask and work efficiently to deadlines.
• Have a proactive and inclusive approach and commitment to supporting SEND pupils to achieve their full potential.

Working Hours

This is a term time only role, so if successful, the salary received will be on a pro-rata basis with the expectation that the postholder attends inset days and appropriate training events (for additional reimbursement) and the working hours are: Monday to Friday: 8.00am - 3.

30pm (with an unpaid 30-minute lunch-break)

Essential Qualifications

NVQ level 3 or above appropriate to the post (or equivalent)

Level 2 or equivalent qualification in English/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy

Desirable Qualifications

First Aid trained or a willingness to undertake a First Aid qualification.
