The Supply Register is collaborating with Leigh Academy Minster to seek an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Head of Learning for Geography to join their team starting in September 2024.

As the Head of Learning for Geography, you will play a key role in motivating and enabling both students and staff to discover, innovate, and thrive. This position offers you the chance to influence the Geography curriculum, ensuring it remains dynamic and inclusive.

Responsibilities

  • Take charge of the curriculum area, encompassing schemes of work, lesson plans, data analysis, and enhancing student achievement
  • Oversee lesson observations, work assessment, and moderation
  • Contribute to and execute academy-wide initiatives
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the course
  • Ensure that the curriculum area's objectives align with the needs of students of varying abilities and ages
  • Implement academy policies and procedures
  • Track and support the overall progress and growth of students within the academy and the Learning Area

Requirements

  • Qualified Geography Teacher with QTS required
  • Right to Work in the UK is mandatory
  • Enhanced DBS clearance is essential or willingness to obtain one
  • Ability to present at least 2 years of professional references
