The Role - General Operative/Driver

A role for a General Operative has become available. You will be joining a well-established family run fabrication client based in Coventry.

Duties will include:

delivering to Customers, driving a fork lift truck; site work/installations at customer's premises,drilling, folding steel, using a guillotine, cutting material on band saws, assembly work, presswork, assisting laser cutting operations, upkeep of shop floor ensuring areas are tidy and safe.


General Operative/Driver role will also involve general maintenance of the factory, assisting steel fabricators on site, fitting jobs and operating laser cutter.


General Operative/Driver's check list:

  • Good communication skills
  • Clean driving licence and counterbalance forklift licence are all essential.
  • Experience in an Industrial Engineering environment would be advantageous.
