We are recruiting a team from a range of allied professionals to build a team of specialised clinicians who will provide diagnostic assessments for those on neurodevelopmental pathways.

This is a new service and we have several positions across allied health professions available. The post holder will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide neurodiversity assessments for children and young people.


Assessments will be carried out in line with relevant clinical pathways as outlined within Be u North Yorkshire's operational procedure.

The post holder will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values clients and their carers.

Some of the essential criteria for the role:

  • A BPS accredited recognised degree in Psychology conferring Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR).
  • Experience with young people who have complex communication, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Language Delay.
  • Strong literacy and report writing skills, with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Diligent and well organised.
  • Effectively communicates, at both written and oral level, complex and sensitive information, taking into account the recipients.
  • Positive attitude, resilient and innovative.
  • Effective time and organisational skills; able to plan, manage and prioritise own workload.
  • Able to comply with organisational policy, information governance and record keeping.
