Hays is now recruiting for a Band 8 Care Group Manager
About the role:
You will be expected to manage Surgery Care Group, comprising several specialities, supporting the Clinical Lead.
The post holder will be responsible for the overall delivery of service, quality, financial and other targets as determined by the Trust.
Inpartnership with the Clinical Lead, the post holder will be responsible for business, workforce, and financial planning within their own unit, and will work closely with other managers and clinicians to support Trust-wide objectives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- To provide operational leadership within the Care Group with over 150 beds.
- Provide input and develop proposals for longterm strategic capital and service planning, which may impact across the Trust. To challenge existing patterns of service and encourage innovation.
- Work with colleagues across the Trust to implement and sustain the RTT recovery programme
- Work with clinicians to reduce waiting times for surgery
- To support the trust transformation agenda around outpatients and theatres
- To actively participate in planning networkwide services as appropriate and to implement actions arising from network discussion or agreement; to translate policy into practice in liaison with the Divisional Director of Operations (DDO).
What you will need to succeed:
- Professional registration as a Registered Nurse
- Experience of clinical practice as a Band 8C
