Position: Care Coordinator Assistant at XYZ Agency

To support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the agency and act as a deputy in their absence while always backing the manager's decisions.

To create a compassionate environment for service users by maintaining high professional standards that cater to their various needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in daily operations and foster good relationships with staff and Field Care Supervisors.
  • Support and implement the decisions of the Registered Manager.
  • Maintain an open, positive, and inclusive management culture.
  • Participate in the agency's management information systems.
  • Provide necessary information to prospective service users and facilitate trial visits.
  • Ensure compliance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
  • Handle complaints, take necessary actions, and report to relevant authorities when needed.

Service User Care:

  • Recognize and meet the needs of service users in all aspects.
  • Contribute to assessments and development of service user plans.
  • Provide healthcare arrangements including medication management.
  • Offer physical, social, and emotional support to service users during emergencies or absences.
  • Evaluate and update Care Plans regularly.
  • Coordinate staff schedules.

Staff Support:

  • Assist with staff recruitment, deployment, and communication.
  • Organize staff meetings, supervisions, and appraisals.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Organize service user and staff records.
  • Maintain service user records.
  • Input data into the agency's system.
  • Support audit and inspection processes.
  • Update service user and staff information in records.
  • Participate in staff meetings.
  • Carry out administrative tasks as needed, including filing, word processing, and email communications.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum one year of experience in community work.
  • Management or care qualification up to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
  • Driver's license is required.
