Collins Aerospace is looking for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for improving and maintaining the Manufacturing / Quality requirements within the manufacturing cell. If you're interested in a role as a Quality Engineer with Collins Aerospace, we would love to hear from you

Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be responsible to the Lead Quality Engineer and will undertake the following activities: -

  • Co-ordinate with Operations on internal and customer related issues
  • Ensure full containment of all quality related issues is conducted
  • Manage Quality Notifications and disposition accordingly
  • Support customer / internal investigations using problem resolution tools and techniques
  • Complete continuous improvement activities to remove waste and improve efficiency
  • Identify and implement projects to reduce Scrap, Rework and Repair (SRR)
  • Support Zero Defect Initiative implementation (internal and supply chain)
  • Perform activities to improve process robustness:
  • PPAP - (Product Part Approval Process)
  • PFMEA - (Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis)
  • RRCA (Relentless Root Cause Analysis)
  • MPR - (Manufacturing Process Review)
  • Carry out any other duties as required to support general operations of the Quality Department

Experience:

  • Understanding of Quality requirements (ISO9000 or AS9100)
  • 2-5 years' experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Able to identify and resolve problems using structured techniques
  • Application of measurement, analysis or continuous improvement tools
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action using 8D process or similar

Personal Characteristics:

  • Highly-motivated, flexible, responsive to change, and calm under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Candidate must have excellent verbal and written skills
  • Works well in a team environment and has the ability to work across various departmental functions within the Company
