Hours:

  • Full-time hours per week

Job Summary: This position involves providing support to young individuals with mental health needs. The role requires flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays while attending training sessions. Good written and verbal communication skills, IT proficiency, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential. Desirable qualifications include a full UK driving license, an NVQ Level 2 in Care, and previous experience working with young people with mental health concerns.

Job Responsibilities: As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will assist young individuals with various mental health diagnoses, promoting their independence and well-being. Your duties will include supporting with education, daily tasks, updating records, and ensuring a homely environment. The role is based in Huddersfield and involves managing incidents, supporting transitions, and engaging in recreational activities with the residents.
