Job Title: Senior Council Tax Recovery Officer
What's the Role at Hillingdon?
As a Senior Council Tax Recovery Officer, you will be responsible for efficiently managing revenue collections and recovery services by accurately processing information from various sources, including online platforms. Your duties will involve setting accounts, applying reliefs, discounts, and exemptions to correctly calculate council taxes owed by Hillingdon residents. You will also handle interactions with taxpayers in court, engage with legal entities for insolvency matters, and oversee enforcement agents when necessary.
Supporting the Recovery Team with inquiries and providing training, you will report to the Council Tax Recovery Team Leader to ensure the smooth operation of the recovery function.
About You
If you are a team player with self-motivation and a desire to learn and grow in local government while supporting Revenues and Benefits, Hillingdon Council is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team. Your responsibilities will include managing the collection of Council Tax and Council Tax Recovery in compliance with regulations and local policies.
Prior experience in a Revenues and Benefits or recovery role is essential, and ongoing training and assistance will be provided.
