Learning Support Assistant - The Role

  • Report to the SENCO
  • Attend to individuals' personal care and mobility needs. Full training provided
  • Work with therapists to ensure appropriate therapy is provided
  • Provide regular feedback to staff and parents
  • Carry out routine administration tasks
  • Support on educational visits where required
  • Create an inclusive environment for students
  • Start ASAP

Learning Support Assistant - Person Specification

  • 2:1 or above degree from a UK university or relevant qualification for a career working with children and young people
  • Ability to use initiative to work independently
  • Passionate about learning
  • Good understanding of child development
  • Experience working with young people with special educational needs desirable but not essential
  • Enthusiasm to take on new responsibilities as a Learning Support Assistant
