Artis Procurement, Purchasing and Supply Chain are pleased to be supporting this leading FMCG manufacturer as they implement their new SAP suite to enhance the supply chain process.

The organisation is an award winning and innovative business.

This is a key role in ensuring the right supply to the customer base through close liaison with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.


Demand Planner Responsibilities:

  • Build key relationships with suppliers, operations and the sales team to deliver the right stock levels to support the phenomenal sales growth.
  • Work closely with suppliers to understand their supply chain and identify opportunities that provide mutual benefit to both businesses.
  • Work with the warehouse and key stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and packaging to suppliers to support production plans.
  • Provide suppliers with a stock demand plan based on the forecasted sales and stock policy
  • Work with the SC team by providing visibility and resolution on any risks to service.
  • Implement and lead monthly supplier meetings and work with suppliers to drive agreed KPIs.
  • Implement a balance scorecard with suppliers to agree requirements on key metrics and drive improvement where required.
  • Raise purchase orders for materials in line with the agreed stockholding criteria.
  • Manage the implementation and discontinuation of products, whilst maximising service and minimising obsolete stock.
  • Strong experience in a supply chain role (ideally gained within manufacturing or FMCG company).
  • Production Planning experience would be a definite advantage.
  • Experience and knowledge of supply chain best practice and the ability to implement that vision within an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills and the ability to create your own production plans within excel.
  • Fluent supply chain knowledge of systems and processes from supplier to consumer
  • Proven ability to work quickly and accurately, with an eye on suggesting improvements to processes and systems.
  • Able to effectively plan and prioritise.
  • Able to influence and negotiate persuasively at peers and senior level internally and externally.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to work with large data, whilst being able to summarise the detail and essence to key stakeholders.
  • Resilient and unflappable in the face of making tough priority decisions and regularly changing priorities.
  • Passion for customer service.
