We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Residential Team Leader to join our team in Blackpool.

In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional care and guidance to children who need it most.


What You'll Do:

  • Lead and motivate a team of residential support workers, ensuring the smooth daily operations of the children's home.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that fosters children's wellbeing, development, and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, therapists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for each child.
  • Provide support, guidance, and mentorship to children, addressing their emotional, social, and educational needs.
  • Ensure adherence to all safeguarding policies and procedures, prioritising the safety and wellbeing of children at all times.
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of the team's work schedules, rotas, and performance.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, training, and development of residential support workers within your team.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records and reports on children's progress and wellbeing.

Who You Are:

  • You possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior residential care role or a similar leadership position within the childcare sector.
  • You hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Children's and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent qualification).
  • You are a strong and compassionate leader with excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • You have a proven track record of building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • You are passionate about child development, safeguarding, and creating a nurturing environment for vulnerable children.
  • You are a confident decisionmaker with a problemsolving approach and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • You possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
