Tallented is collaborating exclusively with HISP, a multi-academy Trust with schools located along the South Coast to fill a key position within their Senior Leadership Team, their COO, internally known as Executive Director - Operations (EDO).
The EDO's role will have a significant impact on the management and strategic expansion of HISP, which currently oversees six schools, soon to be eight.
The EDO will be responsible for ensuring optimal operational performance across the Trust's digital and technology, estates, health and safety, and communications functions. This includes driving efficiency and effective management to uphold educational excellence.
This position will oversee three key departments: Digital, Marketing, and Estates. They will lead a compact direct team and provide management support to multiple schools indirectly. Additionally, overseeing external PR consultancy when necessary.
Operational Leadership and Management:
- Supervise day-to-day operational procedures within the Trust, ensuring all functions under direct report achieve their short and long-term goals.
- Develop and implement operational systems, processes, and policies to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Enforce quality assurance measures across all operational aspects of the Trust to sustain service excellence.
Strategic Digital and Technology Oversight:
- Create and execute a comprehensive integrated digital, technology, and systems strategy to align with the Trust's educational and operational needs.
- Spearhead cybersecurity initiatives, establishing robust protocols to protect sensitive information and digital assets.
- Ensure efficient management of IT infrastructure, emphasizing scalability and sustainability.
Estates Management:
- Direct comprehensive management of all school facilities, ensuring their safety, security, and upkeep.
- Supervise construction and renovation projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Manage crisis communications, ensuring swift and accurate information dissemination during emergencies.
- Change Management and
Organizational Development:
- Collaborate in the Trust's strategic growth planning, focusing on operational needs for integrating new schools within set timeframes and budgets.
- Coordinate with financial and academic planners to evaluate the feasibility of new school additions.
Due to the significant IT aspects, candidates with IT leadership experience are preferred, preferably with change and project management experience.
