Our Agriculture team operate a number of farm to fork schemes including plant, animal-based and industry assurance schemes. We assess and certify over 35,000 members annually to ensure they meet scheme owner standards.


We have an exciting opportunity here at NSF to join our team as an
Agricultural Farm Assessor, where you will carry out assessments on farm against various Agricultural Assurance schemes standards, in Arable, Produce and Livestock sectors, across Wales.

The role is part of the Audit Delivery team who are responsible for recruiting, on-boarding and training high caliber assessors to join the NSF Agriculture Assessor team.

Previous auditing experience is not required, so this is a great opportunity for anybody with an agricultural background, with experience in Arable, Produce, or Livestock sectors

RESPONSIBILITIES

Including, but not limited to:

  • Carrying out assessments against client specific standards
  • Producing full accurate assessment reports within the agreed timescale
  • Keeping abreast of developments, issues and legislative changes pertaining to the sectors in which assessments are carried out
  • Providing support and guidance to assessors
  • Undertaking Short notice assessments as required
  • Carrying out specific project work as required
  • Supporting Audit Delivery with the onboarding and continued development of the NSF farm assessment team
  • Achieving a utilization target of 80% fee earning work each month

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Essential on farm practical experience of a mixed range of enterprises
  • Previous auditing experience is an advantage
  • Previous training background is an advantage
  • The ability to communicate with and engage with both the farming community and colleagues in a confident and patient manner
  • Enthusiastic and energetic with a keen eye for detail and a passion to improve standards
  • Ability to manage conflict/difficult situations
  • Able to manage own time, plan in work and organise to meet deadlines
  • General IT skills
  • Respect for individual and Company confidentiality rights
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach
