Provide a high quality confidential and comprehensive administrative service including the management of patient clinic bookings (eg. ADOS, 3DI, Cognitive assessment clinic, ASD solo/joint); follow up clinic; administrative co-ordination of care; support administration of patient caseloads, waiting lists and new referrals; communication with set up of parent groups; outcoming of clinics which may include discharge of patients to the relevant provider and support of children flowing through the ASD pathway.

Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.

All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.

As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.

The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177 per annum).


  • Prepare patient lists ready for multidisciplinary meetings and perform outcomed postmeeting action plans promptly in support of safe, effective care to the patient
  • Sending out clinical assessment reports to internal and external clinicians eg. Psych or SALT clinical assessment
  • Sending out and following up on service specific forms that need to be completed by internal and/or external stakeholders eg. ASD school forms
  • Sending out clinic letters, appointment letters and assessment reports
  • Manage the team diary and make decisions on behalf of the manager in prioritising and rearranging diary commitments with full knowledge of service clinical commitments within the ASD service.
  • Operate bring forward and reminder systems.
  • Undertake word processing of all documents to a high standard, in an agreed Trust style and using an appropriate referencing system.
  • Utilise advanced level IT skills including Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Access (in addition to executing the Trust clinical system such as Rio skills to a high level) to create service information transparency. Construction of accurate and relevant service performance reports will include but not limited to breakdown in referrals, waiting lists and waiting times, backlog, ongoing referral routes and discharges.
  • Maintain a detailed patient monitoring system and conduct service performance and patient level presentations as needed.
  • Develop and maintain filing systems (electronic and paper) to ensure effective access to relevant information. Uploading of clinical documentation in a prompt and structured manner eg. 3DI questionnaires, Psych or SALT assessment reports etc
  • Prioritise own workload on a daytoday basis to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Act as a central point of contact for external and internal callers, making judgements regarding appropriate dissemination of key information to the wider service team.
  • Answering phone and dealing with patient parent/carer queries when necessary. Understanding the liaising role to communicate clinical queries to the clinical
