We are hiring a RAN Private Network Design Engineer to generate solution High and Low Level Designs for customer Private Network deployments for one our telecom clients in Paddington


Primary ResponsibilitiesnLead customer Private Network solution development and design.nWork with existing client's Solution Architects and designers to deliver high quality, detailed design documentation that is used as a reference for customer deployments.nTranslating customer and operational requirements into E2E Private Network High and low level designs encompassing Core, RAN, IP transport, Devices, Network Management.nKey point of technical support to the delivery and integration teams throughout the deployment and integration lifecycle of customer deployments.nInput into bid and RFP documents supplied to customer.nGenerate pricing and bill of materials for technical solutions.nEnsure industry standardisation and best practice are followed in the design of customer solutions.nMaintain relationships and information exchange with operational, Deployment Sales and Engineering teams.


nThe generation of E2E Solution Designs which include:

n4G, 5GNSA & 5GSA Core Network designn4G, 5GNSA & 5GSA RAN designnIP Transport (Core & Backhaul) IP designnDevice & Use-Case designnProvide expert technical advise on Private Network functionality, performance & Implementation, including complex migrations.


Experience required:

n5+ years of relevant experience in mobile network design / solution architecture at a senior levelnExperience of working in some of the following industry areas; telecommunications, manufacturing, mining, logistics, refineries and other process industry, power plantsnStrong, demonstrable technical expertise across the following domains:nLTE EPC and 5G CorenLTE and 5G NR RAN (including RF Coverage & Performance)nIP Transport, Backhaul & SecuritynKnowledge of standard networking protocols and components such as HTTP, DNS, IP Routing (BGP, IS-IS OSPF), TCP/IP, IPv6 and load balancing.

nDetailed knowledge of HPE (PN & IP Portfolio), Nokia, Ericsson, Palo Alto hardware and functionalitynExtensive Knowledge of 3GPP & ETSI standardsnAdvanced network troubleshooting skills


Experience, Knowledge & Skills RequirednThe successful candidate for this role will have a breadth of experience, working at a technical level across multiple mobile network domains – Core, RAN, IP.nYou will need to be able to demonstrate your understanding of the key concepts of an end-2-end solution architecture.nRecent experience as a Solution Architect or Solution Designer specifically developing Private Networks.nHands on integration experience deploying RAN and Core solutions.
