Join a well-established plant hire company and specialist attachments provider in the construction industry across the UK and Ireland. This is your chance to work as a Transport Planner or Plant Coordinator at their head office in Wembley.

As part of the team, you'll be diving into a supportive environment while contributing to the company's success and growth. Here's what you can expect:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee nationwide plant deliveries using a large HGV fleet
  • Efficiently plan and carry out plant machinery transportation to various sites
  • Coordinate delivery and collection processes, including deadlines, vehicles, and drivers
  • Ensure timely and accurate deliveries by managing available resources effectively
  • Collaborate with site managers to arrange customized transportation solutions
  • Monitor and address service issues with transport providers
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding deliveries
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Maintain precise records of transport operations
  • Implement enhanced transport systems for tracking and reporting purposes
  • Follow company policies and procedures diligently
  • Proactively resolve transportation-related challenges through effective communication and solutions
  • Schedule vehicle maintenance with mechanics
  • Deliver outstanding customer service through phone and email updates
  • Collaborate with various departments internally and externally
  • Handle data in compliance with DPA, GDPR, and company policies

Experience:

  • Expertise in transport route planning
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated experience in construction and heavy machinery transport
  • Knowledge of transport regulations and software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and takes initiative
  • Proficient in administrative tasks and MS Office
  • Previous experience in the construction or plant sector is beneficial
