Job Description:
The role:
The Technical Assistant supports the FM Team in providing a full FM operational service to the business and suppliers to allow the Company to perform its core duties effectively by ensuring the built environment meets and/or exceeds customer expectations.
- To proactively monitor the Facilities Helpdesk ensuring jobs completed within agreed SLAs and provide excellent customer service whilst maintaining strict cost a fast pace environment
- To identify and understand customer requirements and expectations proactively communicating updates on progress.
- Assist in the management and instruction of third party suppliers for repairs and renewals in line with company policy and procedures.
- To keep abreast of Health & Safety legislation for the building and employees to ensure compliant with legal and statutory requirements.
- To assist in the daily driving services jobs during busy periods including chauffeuring and cover annual leave and absence or out of hours jobs in the absence of the main drivers.
- To complete Stationery & Cleaning consumable orders for the business and maintain stocking levels.
- To maintain and look after the pool car fleet and arrange the pool car bookings for employees.
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance (Joinery/plumbing) where required to ensure building is maintained to a high standard in a constant high pressure environment
- Carry out any assigned Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) duties.
- Carry out any logístical furniture and desk relocations
- To be trained and able to cover in staff member's absence to scan, index and maintain business post in a manner that ensures timely and efficient retrieval of required information by the business and the evidential weigh and the legal admissibility of scanned documents.
- To be trained and able to cover in staff members absence to receive and process business post in a timely and accurate manner maintaining awareness of security and data protection implications and ensuring an appropriate level of protection to records and information that are private and confidential.
- To be available to work weekends (Saturday or Sunday) or extra hours during the week at least once a month.
Essential skills and experience:
- Strong communication skills
- DIY / plumbing
- Intermediate PC Skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Telephone skills
Desirable skills and experience:
- GCSE Maths and English (A to C) or equivalent
- H&S qualification or experience
- Joinery and / or Plumbing qualifications
- Experience in a Facilities environment
