About the role:


The aim for this HR consultant is to provide strong professional HR support to a technology based client group : consisting of both, managers and employees and lead by example, guiding, advising and supporting as appropriate.


Responsibilities:


To be successful in this role you will need to understand be able to establish key relationships quickly: relevant business leaders, the employee representative forum as well as member of the immediate HR and wider European HR team.


Need to understand the vision of the organization and demonstrate an excellent understanding of how the company operates, its business requirements and provide tangible HR solutions which result in commercial results.


Be responsible for advising, guiding and supporting managers and employees on all aspects of HR policies and procedures and employment law.


In addition, you will work very closely with other departments and where appropriate external parties such as our benefits providers.

Advise client group regarding employee benefits

Develop, advise and implementing UK policies.

Demonstrate in depth Employment law - working conditions, disciplinary and grievance procedures, equal opportunities, redundancy, paternity/maternity & shared parental leave,

Manage TUPE (in or out)


Recruitment - hiring staff, producing job descriptions, placing adverts, working without internal linked in team recruitment agencies organising interviews and running assessment centres.

Drive local/regional talent agenda by delivering local & regional initiatives.


Salary reviews - researching salaries and ensuring they are in line with legal requirements and industry standards, using Towers Perrin and working closely with the Compensation manger.

Benchmarking all roles,

Documentation - update staff handbooks, contracts, and issuing written offers of employment, promotion etc.

Raise/coach managers on how to raise 'askHR tickets' for support from our shared service center

You may also work closely with company lawyers and the employee representatives.

Keep updated of changing HR trends in the macro environment as well as up employment law.

Deliver key HR projects and initiatives (Provide direction & operational support to local & regional digital transformation projects)

Offers ideas and continuous services improvement through the review of existing practices and implementation of new processes as necessary.

Provide best practice HR support


Liaise with global HR functions, the Head of HR and global HR Business Partners to agree actions and to ensure compliance with corporate strategy and programs.

Maintaining HR information system records and compiling reports (management information and Peoplesoft )

Other local HR responsibilities as required in accordance with business needs.

About you:

Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
Graduate CIPD

5 years + experience

Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills

Team player

Able to work through ambiguity

Resilient

Empathetic

Diplomatic and negotiation skills

Commercial awareness

Self-starter and initiative

TUPE experience (in and out)

The ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines

Technically savvy

Advanced Microfoft Office skills (Excel, Powepoint & Word)

Up to date UK employment law knowledge

Global experience in a large matrix organization

Ability to work with remote managers
