ITOPF is an international organisation providing the maritime industry with objective technical advice, expertise, assistance and information on effective response to releases of oil, chemicals and other pollutants in the marine environment. ITOPF's work is varied and challenging. It involves giving advice worldwide on the most appropriate methods for responding to oil and chemical spills from ships, minimising their impact on economic resources and the environment, assessing claims for compensation, and running workshops and presentations as part of our preparedness and education work.

We are seeking two Technical Advisers, one to join each of our bases in Central London and Singapore.

Candidates should possess, as a minimum, a higher degree in a scientific, engineering or related discipline and also preferably have relevant practical experience of pollution control, and/or the effects of pollution on marine resources. Fluency in a language other than English would be a distinct advantage. For the role in Singapore, ideally you will have an academic background in Chemistry and a fluency in Mandarin. The successful candidates must be willing to travel extensively, often at short notice, and be able to work under pressure. Good physical fitness, strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral presentation abilities, and computer literacy are all vital.

With a starting salary of circa £56,000 p.a (London) /8,500SGD p.m (Singapore), we also offer a generous benefits package including allowances, health benefits, flexible working options and a continuous training and development program.
