Expleo are currently recruiting for a Hardware Engineer focused within the automotive market based in Warwickshire. This is a permanent position with hybrid working available.

Responsibilities -
  • Have significant experience of hardware design skills and will be able to review and understand how to read and analyse schematics and design calculations and simulations.
  • Have extensive experience of electronic module delivery life cycle in automotive engineering
  • Have extensive experience of electronic module design analysis including Installation requirements and design, Thermal Design and analysis, Environmental Specifications and test requirements, EMC tests and test plan creation, Electrical Harness specification and release (e.g., Device Transmittal process), Hardware Software Interface Specifications and Networks such as CAN and Flex ray.
  • A good understanding of fuse and harness design requirements, specifications, capabilities and standards
Desirable -
  • A good understanding of the best practices of Hardware Design such as those described in GRADE and experience in the GRADE process is desirable.
  • A good understanding of EMC best practice is essential. Good understanding of automotive EMC specifications, test procedures and EMC test plans desirable.
  • Experienced in reviewing Environmental, EMC, Grade and functional test reports and engage with supplier to ensure issues are explained and resolved in line with in house requirements.
  • Some experience of the electrical interface requirements of sensor sets.
