Description

Our Blood Sciences team runs a 24/7 service across three laboratories and has an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our Chemistry team in Taunton. You will work with state-of-the-art Beckman Coulter automated track and analytical systems supporting testing for the local NHS trust and primary care providers.

SYNLAB UK & Ireland partners with the NHS to enhance pathology services through ventures like Southwest Pathology Services (SPS).

At SPS, we aim to make a positive impact on healthcare in Somerset. We hold UKAS accreditation and provide training for IBMS Registration and Specialist Portfolios.

Responsibilities

As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will conduct routine and specialist testing, supervise staff, and maintain high-quality standards.

You will mentor and support team members, sharing your expertise and passion for your work. We will assist in your professional development to align with business interests.

Qualifications

If you are HCPC registered with Chemistry experience, possess an IBMS Specialist Portfolio, and have worked with automated Chemistry platforms, we want to hear from you.

We are open to Band 5 applicants seeking to progress to Band 6 upon portfolio completion.
