We are excited to announce a rewarding opportunity to join a well-known food manufacturing company based in Lichfield. This reputable company is recognized as one of the top manufacturers in the UK. Currently, they are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician with a Mechanical bias to join their team.

Job Role:

As a Maintenance Technician with a Mechanical bias, your main responsibilities will revolve around resolving mechanical faults on machinery and plant equipment. You will also be involved in conducting minor maintenance on all site equipment, which includes planned maintenance and asset care. Additionally, you will be maintaining various specialist machinery and equipment within the factory site while adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols.

  • Organizing, setting up, and monitoring machinery
  • Rectifying mechanical faults on machinery, plant, and equipment, making necessary alterations
  • Leading process improvements and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Completing documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assisting in the installation of plant and equipment as needed
  • Managing the SOP writing program
  • Utilizing computer-aided maintenance management systems when required
  • Conducting daily equipment integrity audit inspections
  • Performing maintenance following fabric and safety inspections

Desirable Experience:

  • Completion of a relevant engineering apprenticeship
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualifications
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with FMCG experience considered advantageous
  • Proficiency in reading advanced electrical and mechanical drawings for new machinery
