Balfe's Bikes Bike Builder Job Description:
Role

The bike builder role will report to the dispatch manager and is responsible for the preparation of bikes for delivery directly to customers.

All bikes are built in line with industry standards and best practices, ensuring any bike that leaves our workshop is set up safely and ready to ride.

Responsibilities:

• Unboxing and preparing manufacturer packaged bikes for build
• Building bikes in line with industry standards and best practices
• Identify faults or issues during the bike build process
• Actioning repairs, where practicable, or diagnosing and passing through to management where necessary
• Loading/Unloading of delivery vehicles
• Following green initiatives, recycling packaging material where possible
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; complying with procedures; rules and regulations.
• Assisting in other areas of the warehouse/business where required
• Following all company H&S guidelines.

Experience/Qualifications

• Cytech 1/equivalent or great qualifications
• Experience of working as a bike builder or mechanic within a professional environment.
• Documentation Skills
• Experience of working as a mechanic within a professional high paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 25 Kgs
• Forklift Experience is desirable

Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 7 months
