We are currently recruiting for an early years practitioner with a full and relevant childcare qualification to join our Higher Walton Nursery.

The role is full time Monday to Friday.

As a practitioner, you can expect excellent training and development opportunities as well as a caring and passionate place to work.

Your role will include;

  • Being a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their families according to the EYFS.
  • Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues.
  • Ensuring health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times.
  • Looking after the health and wellbeing of the child, such as feeding babies and changing their nappies.
  • Observing children's progress and development, and keeping record of this to collaborate and communicate with parents.
  • Helping children to develop core skills.
  • Providing a safe and enabling environment for children to work in.
  • Teaching to the curricular requirements of the EYFS.
  • Encouraging physical activities to keep children active.
  • Supporting children's mental health, fostering an environment where children find help if they need it.
  • Supporting communication and social skills to help children interact with those around them.
  • Helping children with educational disabilities or needs with their studies.
  • Follow Playdor's policies and procedures.
