Cannulation
Use of Syringe Pumps (B-Braun)
Intravenous Infusion Pumps (B-Braun)
Assist with CVC/ VAS CATH insertion
Competent in drug administration (CVC- copy of signed competency document must be within the last 12 months)
Care of/ Recording Arterial Lines
Arterial Blood Sampling
Interpretation of Electrolytes
Interpretation of Blood Gases
Recording 12 Lead ECG
Urine Output
Care of Invasive Ventilation (Hamilton ventilator)
Tracheostomy Wound Care
Effective Communication Skills
Management of Chest Drains
Haemodialysis (CVVHDF- Prismax)
General Medicine
Management of Sliding Scale Insulin
Hypo/Hyper Glycemic Reaction
Care of Asthma
Basic ECG Rhythmic Recognition
Barrier Nursing
