Overview

EFL Teachers play a crucial role in delivering top-notch EFL lessons according to the ANGLO syllabus, fostering a communicative approach with a strong focus on speaking and listening skills.

Your role & responsibilities
  • To collaborate with the Teaching Manager and/or WTS on teaching and student-related issues.
  • To teach assigned levels and course types, plan classes thoroughly, and assess students' work.
  • To choose suitable supplementary materials considering students' requirements and cultural backgrounds.
  • To maintain accurate attendance records and promptly report absences or illnesses.
  • To adhere to the guidelines defined in the Teacher Manual.
  • To engage in teacher briefings, meetings, and CPD sessions as necessary.
  • To ensure students are ready for presentations, excursions, and cultural activities.
  • To address issues, incidents, and complaints promptly and inform the Teaching Manager as needed.
  • To maximize English learning opportunities for students both inside and outside the classroom.
  • To establish a positive and well-organized learning environment that integrates British culture.
  • To provide students with constructive feedback and complete weekly academic reports accurately.
  • To comply with ANGLO's safeguarding and welfare policies consistently.
  • To demonstrate a high level of professionalism at all times.
Requirements

Essential

  • First degree + TEFL qualification or equivalent (e.g., CELTA, Trinity CertTESOL).
  • Native or near-native English proficiency.
  • DBS Update Service subscription or willingness to undergo a DBS check.
  • Dynamism in teaching approach.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Dedication to exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a strong work ethic.

Desirable

  • Prior experience in teaching individuals under 18.
  • Qualification in teaching Young Learners.
  • Previous involvement in summer schools.
  • Experience with project-based or task-based learning.
  • Experience with Trinity GESE exams.
Benefits

PAY: £640.00 per full week

HOURS: Between 9:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday (up to 8 hours per day, including 7 teaching hours and 1 paid planning hour)

CONTRACT: Temporary, fixed term

PREPARATION: Induction before classes begin. Comprehensive training upon arrival. Ongoing support provided during work.
